Moving Mindsets

How could you adapt or change one of your current class/course policies to reflect a moving mindset? Is this a change you are willing to make? Why or Why not?

I don't necessarily have a class policy that I will be changing.  However, I will be changing the way that I teach.  After listening to the speaker on the TED video I realized that although I am a licensed teacher there are people out there that can teach some lessons better than I can.  Therefor, I will be trying to get approved the use of Skype or Face Time in my classroom.  I want my students to be able to talk with people in the profession and experience things, even virtually, that they wouldn't be able to experience otherwise.  I want to teach them in the ways that they enjoy.  We already don't use a school book, but use current articles to learn about history and websites to work on math.  I want to be able to go further with it though.  I want to be able to allow them too see the world outside of our classroom walls and I want them to see that their disability doesn't determine their ability.
